Andrea Moller

Not to be confused with Andrea Muller or Andreas Moller.

Andrea Moller is the current record holder for the Hawaiian Kaiiwi Channel SUP Solo crossing. She won the 32 miles from Molokai to Oahu Stand Up Paddleboard Race on Saturday, July 25 of 2010 coming in six hours even, 18 minutes less than the prior mark.

Born in Ilha Bella, an island in the State of São Paulo in Brazil, 1979 Andrea moved to Maui, Hawaii to compete as a windsurfer in 1998. Growing up by a marina owned by her father made Andrea very comfortable to explore the water sports. Entering the competition world as a top medalist in swimming was just the confidence she needed after all the support she would get at home.

Andrea excels in big waves, surfing places like Peahi, historically known as Jaws on Maui and together with Maria Souza was the first women team to "tow-in" into the giant waves of Jaws in 2004.

She started paddling six-man canoe as a way to stay fit to the surfing and windsurfing. When it became something serious Andrea immersed herself into one-man canoeing and in 2005 she got a Stand Up Paddle Surfing board. She has been racing in all of these sports since she started practicing each.

She was also part of the first female team to cross the Molokai to Oahu Channel Stand Up Paddling.
